Lurking in the media is the insinuation that Barcelona have finally identified a player they feel can fill the void left by Dani Alves.
According to the media vehicle the Express, Barca are edging ahead of their rivals when it comes to the Benfica defender Nelson Semedo.
Our source suggests that whilst the EPL duo of Manchester United and Manchester City both would like to acquire the services of the defender, Barca have begun talks with the Portuguese club that would see Semedo arrive at the Camp Nou this summer.
Semedo is valued at £35 million by Benfica for whom he has featured 45 times this season in all competitions with the source adding that the 23-year-old quite fancies a move to a club that has a history of winning trophies.
Here at Vital Barcelona we`ll endeavour to keep abreast of any developments on this particular piece of transfer speculation.
